1. A big man’s relationship with you is premised on VALUE. It is totally dependent on the value you bring to the table at every point in time.
2. A big man does not have a permanent friend. He is a friend in need. Please NOTE that his relationship with you is purely TRANSACTIONAL.
2B. Your value to him diminishes as the value you bring to him decreases.
3. You are as important to him as the VALUE you bring to the table. He will take care of you and give you a sense of belonging so far as YOU CONTRIBUTE STRONGLY TO HIS VALUE CHAIN!
4. Never misconstrue your relationship with him to mean FRIENDSHIP.
5. Never focus on his WORDS, they mean NOTHING. Focus on his ACTIONS.
6. Enjoy his company while it lasts; however, don’t sell yourself CHEAP, also be watchful to know when he no longer wants you!!!
7. Never see him as a FRIEND. You can only be a friend if the VALUE you bring is CONTINUOUS.
8. Watch carefully how he treats or has treated others in your position, because you are already in the queue.
9. Listen carefully to what he says about others like you who are in similar shoes.
10. He doesn’t operate on the basis of EMOTIONS; he is RUTHLESS about VALUE ADDITION.
Have the above in mind, so you won’t complain that he CHANGED or USED YOU, his relationship model is focused strictly on VALUE…
He HAS NO MERCY & NO 2ND THOUGHT, if he wants to replace a REDUNDANT MEMBER of a value chain.
