As we count down to Valentine’s Day, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) FCT, led by Chairperson Bassey Ita Ikpang, urges adolescents—especially young girls in the FCT and the suburb to exercise caution while celebrating the season of love.
As we celebrate this season of love and friendship, the Chairperson wants to remind young girls and Boys that true love begins with self-care and making healthy choices. Valentine’s Day is a time to share joy, kindness, and affection, but it is also important to prioritize your well-being.
Mrs Ikpang encourages you to be health-conscious by making informed decisions that protect your physical, emotional, and mental health.
Avoid risky behaviors, stay in safe environments, and seek guidance when in doubt. Love should uplift and empower you, not put you at risk.
She assures the youths especially girls that NAWOJ remains committed to advocating for their rights, well-being, and future.
Mrs Ikpang a media HIV advocate wants everyone to celebrate this season with wisdom, self-respect, and the confidence to make choices that support a bright and healthy future.
