Following the arraignment of Mr. Chinonso Theodore Uba (popularly known as Nonsonkwa), the Imo Political Awareness Group (IPAG) has lauded the Nigeria Police Force for swiftness in apprehension stating that it is Justice Served at last.
The Group in a statement signed by the Imo Political Awareness Group (IPAG) Publicity Secretary Comrade Egbuna C. Egbuna, accused Nonsokwa the “propagandist responsible for instigating the heinous attack on the National Open University Study Center in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. “
The Statement reads “His arraignment today at the Magistrate Court in Owerri marks a significant victory in the ongoing fight against anti-state actors bent on destabilizing the peace and progress of Imo State.
IPAG notes with satisfaction, that the overwhelming presence of jubilant Imo citizens at the court is a clear indication of the collective resolve of our people to reject any form of violence, anarchy and subversion of lawful institutions.
The arrest and prosecution of Mr. Uba symbolize a turning point in our effort to safeguard the values of justice, peace, and development that Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration has worked tirelessly to instill.”
IPAG reiterates its unwavering support for the rule of law and urges the judiciary to ensure that justice is served swiftly and without compromise. This will send a strong message to all elements seeking to foment unrest in Imo State that their actions will not go unpunished.
The people of Imo State deserve to live in an atmosphere free of fear, intimidation, and violence. We stand resolute in our commitment to a safer, more united, and prosperous Imo State. The arrest of Nonsonkwa is a reminder that no individual or group is above the law, and anyone found culpable of disrupting public peace will face the full weight of justice.
