Stakeholders have called for a multi-faceted approach to tackling Nigeria’s persistent rising inflationary pressures.
The 3rd Edition of the GreenLand News Magazine Annual Lecture/Award, themed: “X-Raying Nigeria Persistent Rising Inflation, Causes, Solution: Way Forward” took place in Abuja where attendees expressed concern over the dire state of the economy.
In his keynote address, Prof. Emmanuel Kwon-Ndung emphasized the importance of addressing issues such as fluctuating exchange rates, poor infrastructure, and supply-side bottleneck, would be crucial in curbing inflationary trends.
Prof. Kwon-Ndung recommended implementing prudent monetary policies, investing in the agriculture sector, and reducing overreliance on oil exports to diversify the economy.
He also suggested that improving security on farms, tackling logistics bottlenecks around moving food across the country, Raising Public awareness about inflation, promoting regional African food trade and reducing fiscal deficits as ways to reduce inflation.
In her address, the Editor-in Chief of GreenLand News Magazine, Amb, Dr. Peace Ofeoshi stressed that increasing the supply of goods and services, improving infrastructure, and reducing corruption are crucial steps towards stabilizing the economy.






The event also recognized exemplary individuals who have contributed significantly to nation-building with Amb. Humphrey Geiseb, High Commissioner of Namibia to Nigeria, Hon. Stainless Nwodo, HoR Member, Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba, former Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Rev. Uche Ukadike Ibeabuchi (JP), Hon.
