Former Spokesperson of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Chuks Ibegbu has said though, General Babangida’s confession and acceptance of responsibility for the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, saying he will have to confess more of his actions during his regime.
Ibegbu made this known following the confession of Ex-Military Head of States, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida and his acceptance of responsibility in the line of action that annulled the presidential victory of Chief MKO Abiola, who won the June 12.
He noted that the victory of June 12 presidential election is apt. Ibegbu however want Babangida to make further confessions on the Hercules Air crash that killed the best officers we had then, the Gloria Okonkwo issue, Dele Giwa among others.
Ibegbu also called on other past and present Nigeria rulers to take bold step as Babangida and confess their anti-people’s actions which cost millions of lives like the civil war the coups and counter coups etc .
“The looters in civilian and military era should come out now and confess to the nation as Babangida did. Gowon and Danjuma should tell us how Ironsi died.
“We need to know all these for permanent reconciliation Ibegbu asserted, as MKO Abiola should be fully immortalised, “advised Ibegbu.
