It has been an effusive outpouring of encomiums on the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Austin Akobundu by the people of Abia Central Senatorial District and beyond since his distribution of Christmas and New Year Gifts to them on Tuesday.
Some of the people who spoke on the gifts expressed both gratitude and surprise because, according to them, having been relentless in the ongoing provision of solar-powered streetlights for select markets across the six LGAs that constitute the District, the ongoing construction of six skills acquisition centres, one for each of the six local governments, the ongoing construction of roads, several layers of empowerment and free training of secondary school students/youths of Abia Central in ICT, embedded engineering system, robotics, and AI; free trainings on farming and sewing, paint making and production of cosmetics; scholarship to several students including a full 3-year sponsorship of 113 constituents to the National Teachers Institute (NTI), they thought they had had enough for the year from the Senator, only for him to top his excellent representation and exquisite leadership with gift of bags of rice to them to celebrate the season with their families.
They also commended him for his quality bills and motions that are attracting federal government development projects to the district and for his kind gestures and prayed God to keep blessing him while also committing to keep supporting him in his endeavours.
