…Odianosen loses inherited property after receiving N800,000 ransom payment
Following his kidnapping activities in Edo Central Senatorial Districts, the Edo State Government’s Anti-Kidnapping Task Force has demolished an inherited property belonging to Oboh Odianosen, a middle-age Man from Uromi town.
The property was demolished by the Edo State Task Force against Kidnapping, following his arrest and confession to the crime.
According to Odinosen, he was part of a five-man gang that kidnapped a man from Ekpoma, holding him for three days until a ransom of 5 million was paid. He claimed to have used his share of the ransom to pay off debts.
Confessing to the crime, he said: “My name na odianosen Oboh. Na my house be this. My papa build am, but I finish the house. Na my friend Epama I follow, we carry one man from Ekpoma, as we carry am, the car when we use spoil, I come use my bike carry am. We carry am go inside bush for Uromi, we spend 3 days inside bush before them pay us N5 million. Na 5 of us do the job and them give me N800,000. I use the money pay some kind debts when I owe before.”
On how he was arrested, he noted: “Na Epama when them hold confess me, and them come pick me. Now them wan break my house, my papa house because of N800,000. My family no go get house again. My children they are outside now. Any body that see crime should run from crime.”
On his part, Special Adviser to Governor Monday Okpebholo on Security Affairs, Mr. Akhere Paul, after supervising the demolition of the 4th property of kidnap suspects, insisted that the Governor will not relent until kidnapping ends in the Edo State.
Mr. Paul noted: “My advice to everybody is that, there is no peace for the wicked. Those ones still kidnapping should know government will not stop. Your time will come and we will come for you. We will chase them, continue to chase them and we will continue to bring their houses down.”
On his part, the Commander, Task Force, SP Michael Anetor, noted that the suspects who belong to a gang of five had confessed to the crime and the Task Force had to enforce the law.
SP Anetor gave insights to the crime. “This guy called Oboh is a kidnapper. He has confessed to the crime, and I personally have interviewed him, and he told me he has only followed them once, with the guy called Palmer, who we have also demolished his house. I am advising those who are watching what is going on now, and still have intentions to do crime, the Governor is not going to rest, and we at the Task Force, are ready to work round the clock until they stop kidnapping in Edo State.”
