Minister of Works Senator David Umahi has in the spirit of the just concluded Ramadan Season, extended his felicitations to all Muslim faithful as they mark this year’s celebration of Eld-El-Fitr all over the world.
Sen. Umahi in a statement congratulated the Muslim faithful on the auspicious moment of Eld-El-Fitr celebrations to mark the end of Ramadan; the holy month of extra-ordinary devotion to God through increased worship to Allah, fasting, self-discipline, charity, generosity and sacrifice.
The Minister urged both Muslims and non-Muslims to observe and practice the significance of the festive season.
“It is indeed memorable, as it is a time to share the joy of brotherliness; a time to reaffirm the faith and commitment of the Muslim Ummah to the ideals of Islam and celebrate the manifestations of the virtues of kindness,forgiveness and compassion which are the core principles of Ramadan.
“As you celebrate this canonical festival of Islam, I wish you all a joyous Eid fill with love, grace, and humanity. May this festival renew your faith in God and commitment to the peace, progress, and prosperity of our nation, Nigeria.
He again, congratulated the faithful, as he assured them of the esteemed regards and best wishes of his family, the management and staff of the Federal Ministry of Works.
