Governor Uzodimma Prioritises the Welfare of Imolites

There is no denying the fact that the economy is tough and our people are struggling to get by, as prices of food and other basic commodities have experienced an upward shift in the last few months.

Truly, many families are struggling to get by. While this situation is not peculiar to Imo State or Nigeria, as the world economy, including that of the most advanced economies of the world is experiencing a meltdown, with strong fears of potential global economic depression, Imolites are assured that their welfare and comfort shall always be sacrosanct.

Indeed, we can count ourselves fortunate and bless God’s name for having a thoughtful and visionary man at the helm of affairs at these anxious times.

His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, GSSRS, appreciates the challenges being encountered by the citizenry as a result of the necessary economic reforms embarked upon by the Federal Government.

 He does not take lightly, to issues affecting the welfare of the people, and continues to design and implement programs and policies that shall guarantee a better standard of living to Imolites.

In line with his lifelong ideology of working for the prosperity and happiness of the largest number of the people, the governor is deeply concerned and genuinely sympathizes, especially, with low-income earners and vulnerable families across the State and is relentless in his determination to continue to implement programs and policies that shall, both in the short and long term, ameliorate the sufferings of the people, by ensuring that everyone, gets enough to eat.

The governor is also in constant touch with the President, His Excellency President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, and together they are working to stabilise the economy and improve the welfare of ordinary Nigerians, by speeding up these reforms, while continuing to provide temporary palliatives that would help in cushioning the unfavourable effects of these unavoidable economic reforms.

Already, bags of food commodities, including; maize, rice, noodles, and other basic items have been distributed across the State, and more of such are on the way.

These palliatives are stopgap measures to enable citizens get by, while more sustainable programs are rolled out, which will guarantee higher viability of our Naira, price stability, improved agricultural output, more job opportunities and more wealth to our people.

It is important to reassure Imolites once again, that the governor is committed to ensuring that all funds meant for the State is used for the good of the State, in a transparent and accountable manner.

 Imo under Governor Uzodimma continues to rank highly in transparent allocation and implementation of budgets.

Imolites are assured that the Governor does not take their cooperation and support for granted, and as always, he is focusing all his energy and time into investing in their happiness and comfort.
