Although Mrs. Nonye Soludo is not referred to as the Anambra First Lady, she is also not operating from the Office of the First Lady in Agu-Awka, where her predecessors operated, she has recently joined the League of Wife of Governors with the First Lady’s pet project domesticated in their states.
Her healthy Living project which focuses on campaigns for a healthy lifestyle was first launched a decade ago. Since then, she has distinguished herself on the philosophy of the project and is desirous of having the campaign outlive her. On June 27, 2023, the pet project which is in line to complement her husband’s vision of building a prosperous homeland was birthed in Anambra State and it is an open forum for hygiene and right health enthusiasts, driven by ethics and passion.
To be fully funded by corporate organizations, donor agencies, and private individuals, the project targets women and children and is predicated on six segments including the promotion of good nutrition, environmental cleanliness, basic life skills, and sound morals in society, and the project has since started campaigns in primary and secondary schools across the state to help our young ones imbibe the culture of healthy living.
Conclusively, in a strategic approach, it will be safe to say that Mrs. Nonye Soludo has adopted sustainable measures for her pet project to outlive her husband’s administration, expand beyond Anambra shortly, and solve some of the identified challenges, improve the quality of life and status by creating awareness among women and children as well as encouraging them to realize and develop their potential for a more fulfilling.
