It was all Joy and laughter in the quiet village of Heipang in Plateau State as the Garlyn Foundation hosted its inaugural Heipang Children’s Day 2025 Funfair, an inspiring celebration that put rural children at the center of joy, excitement, and hope.
Speaking during the fun fair the Founder of the Garlyn Foundation, Judith Yop Pam-Tok, noted that the significance of the Heipang Children’s Day 2025 fun fair is to bridge the gap between rural and urban children.

“This is only the beginning,” says Judith, who believes every child, no matter their background or geography, deserves access to the same experiences, opportunities, and dreams.
Thanks to the efforts of the Garlyn Foundation and the amazing and dedicated team at Garlyn Foundation Leadership Academy, Heipang saw its first taste of a city-style children’s Day celebration. Children from Heipang, Kassa and Barakin Ladi, came together for a day filled with games, music, dance, face painting, snacks, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
The joy was contagious. For many of the children, it was their first time seeing a funfair, and their delight said it all.

This year’s event was more than just a fun day, it was a bold declaration that children in rural areas matter just as much. That their dreams are valid. That they, too, deserve to laugh, to play, and to imagine big futures.
