How Senator Austin Akobundu Flagged-Off Road Projects in His Constituency

In keeping to his promise of providing dividends of democracy for his constituents, Senator Austin Akobundu recently flagged off the construction of Oloko-Amizi road and Oloko-Ugbuebulle road both in Ikwuano LGA with others in the Abia Central Senatorial District already earmarked for a similar exercise soon.

The roads when completed will connect key communities within the constituency and beyond even up to Akwa Ibom State thereby facilitating smooth transportation of goods and services that will in turn drive economic growth for the various benefitting communities.

Senator Akobundu while performing the flag off ceremony reiterated his commitment to his constituents through effective representation and attracting meaningful projects to them that would impact their lives positively.

The highly elated benefitting communities thanked the Senator for the road projects and promised their cooperation to ensure that the contractors are not hindered in any way in the course of their works.

Apart from the road projects, Senator Austin Akobundu has also embarked on other people-oriented projects in his constituency since he assumed office just a little over a year ago, precisely on November 15, 2023.

Such projects include installation of solar-powered streetlights in select markets across communities in the 6 LGAs that make up the senatorial district; construction of six modern skills acquisition centres, one each for the six LGAs of the constituency; remodeling of a health centre, and several skills acquisition and empowerment programmes, including scholarships and such other capacity building programmes for youths of the constituency.
