I hate this advocacy, but I see photos of our people when the politicians gather them to share them leftovers, which they use to keep them perpetually poor.
It hurts me badly. I see things getting worse for them, while our politicians live large with their funds.
I see our young people go into prostitution in the midst of plenty.
I see our young people go into crimes, become tools for politicians to defend their own oppression, while the politicians lives cart away their funds.
I see no hope for our youth, because the politicians have no plans for them. They use them as attack dogs to blackmail anyone seeking their emancipation.
I see civil servants suffering, with their salaries not enough to purchase a bag of rice.
I see our people die of avoidable illnesses because there are no hospitals, whereas billions of Naira get claimed yearly for building hospitals. The worst is that these politicians even loot funds for healthcare given to our people as Aid.
They have NO conscience!
I see our young people becoming illiterates and unemployable because our schools are collapsing, while billions of Naira are claimed yearly by politicians for investments in the education sector. They even steal grants provided by the World Bank & UNESCO, provided for building schools!
I see our communities remaining the same way they were in 1990 when I left the village. No roads, no electricity, no water, no life, no future!
I see my mum’s monthly pension not enough to buy her a quarter bag of rice.
I see no hope!
Yet, hundreds of billions of Naira come into the state monthly.
Politicians continue to enslave the people, telling them that they care for them, while they loot their resources, lie to them, and keep them in perpetual poverty.
It hurts my heart.
Do they actually fear God?
How do they feel subjecting their people to poverty, while they live in luxury with their funds?
I hate advocacy, but I can’t help myself!
I’m in church, but can’t concentrate.
God help me, please! I’m tired!
