- NO SALARY OR ALLOWANCE FOR STATE OFFICERS FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS:
Since the inception of the Current Exco, the Governor has not made any provision for payment of salaries and allowances to party officials and their aides, as well as other support staff of the party.
All the promises made by the Governor, three years ago had typically remained a wishy washy! Exco members cannot afford to feed their families and even some of them have lost their loved ones because the Governor who controls all the Party accounts, refused to pay them or even approve allowance for them. It may however, interest you to know that the Governor of Imo state placed all the APC Exco Members in Anambra and Enugu on salary but left the APC Exco members of his own state to languish in poverty and penury.
- NO PROVISION OF OFFICIAL VEHICLES
Unlike their counterparts in other states, all state officers of the major political parties especially those in power have official vehicles courtesy of their Governors except Imo APC. The Governor of Imo state bought official vehicles to all the principal officers of APC in the whole of South East except Imo state.
- NO RUNNING COST:
For the past three years, the Governor has starved the APC Principal Officers and other Excos members of funds to meet their daily administrative cost. The party cannot afford to power even its generating set, except when the Chairman comes to office with Diesel from his house! Every officer of the party runs his or her office with their private funds! Yet the Governor prides himself outside as the Governor General whose house is leaking.
Charity, they say begins at home but for Uzodinma, charity begins from strangers who don’t even give a hoot of what he does for them.
- HOPE UZODINMA’S GOVERNMENT DEFRAUDED STATE OFFICERS IN THE LAND ALLOCATION SCAM
In spite of the poor welfare conditions of the State Officers, the state government encouraged members to subscribe to the land allocation process of the former Commissioner for Lands Hon. Noble Atulegwu, till date nobody has said anything about our money. And it was the state Governor that directed all the State Exco members to go and purchase the land allocation forms from Ministry of Lands. And at the end, he cancelled the exercise and refused to Refund our money.
- HIJACKING OF LGA ELECTION FUNDS!
Currently, there is anxiety and tension in the party Secretariat over the disappearance and misappropriation of the funds generated during the LGA election processes.
To make matters worse, there’s this apprehension that a serving Commissioner from Oru nation (name withheld) has collected the entire sum from the party account on the directives of the Governor, as the State Chairman finds it difficult to give account of the funds realized through the sales of forms. The Governor has collected all the money and nothing for the party.
Imo APC is very broke and in total disarray and the officials of the party are crying out for help.
