Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency witnessed history on Saturday as Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, the Labour Party’s first-term Member of the House of Representatives, rolled out an unprecedented ₦1 billion constituency empowerment programme, the largest ever seen in the area.
The historic event, which held at the Uturu Primary School Field, drew an overflowing crowd of constituents, community leaders, business owners, youth groups, and political stakeholders, all gathered to witness what many have described as a new benchmark in people driven representation.

Empowerment Tool
Marking his two years in office, Hon. Ogah distributed a massive catalogue of empowerment tools and financial support packages aimed at strengthening local enterprises and stimulating grassroots economic growth. The items included buses, tricycles, motorcycles, deep freezers, industrial sewing machines, vulcanizing machines, grinding machines, as well as substantial business grants and startup support for artisans, traders, farmers, and young entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Ogah reaffirmed that his vision for representation is rooted in empowerment, economic transformation, and direct impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.

He emphasized that leadership must be measured by tangible results, not empty promises, a principle that has guided his service since assuming office.
Hon. Ogah charged public officer holders to ensure transparency, accountability, as well as quality representation.

The lawmaker frown at elective leaders who saw politics as an avenue to embazzle money.
Across the constituency, the initiative has been hailed as historic in scale and impact, further cementing Hon. Ogah’s reputation as one of the most dynamic and result-oriented first-term lawmakers in the National Assembly.
Stakeholders and beneficiaries described the programme as a lifeline, praising the lawmaker for redefining what effective representation should look like in a democracy.

With this mega ₦1 billion empowerment rollout, many believe Hon. Ogah has not only raised the bar but has also set a new standard for future constituency development in Nigeria.
