Friday, 23rd of May, 2025 was another special day family, relations, friends and well wishers celebrated Chief Jude Chijioke Ndukwe on the occasion of his birthday. A man considered in eminently regarded circles as highly cerebral, ebullient and erudite in his endeavours, attributes that have endeared him to all classes of people including prominent and highly placed personalities in the society, Jude Ndukwe carries himself with celestial grace and infectious humility despite his reach, demonstrating a high sense of commitment, compassion and care to people irrespective of their statuses.
He is considered a man of high integrity, loyalty, honour and valour even in the face of extreme adversity.
He was bestowed with a chieftaincy title, Ochomma Oha 1 (he who seeks the good of all) by the traditional ruler of his community “for bringing pride, honour, respect and glory to our community,” as stated during his chieftaincy conferment ceremony.
True to his chieftaincy title, Jude Ndukwe has been described by several people as a man of great compassion and care who shows genuine concern for others, goes the whole hog to make them happy and comfortable and help meet their needs even if it means inconveniencing himself to achieve this.
As an activist, Jude Ndukwe has led and participated in several pro-people actions aimed at influencing government to change its oppressive approach to governance and act to favour the people in accordance with the constitution.
Perhaps, his strongest point is his writing prowess. He authored “The Vanity of Change and the Audacity of Truth: A Collection of Uncompromising Essays,” and “Freedom Beyond: A Collection of Poems,” both books through which he passed strong messages about misgovernance in Nigeria, the plight of the people and the general sociopolitical situation of society.
His media presence is so strong that he has authored over 200 essays published in various leading newspapers and blogs. His strong opinions have contributed richly to Nigeria’s sociopolitical and economic discourses and helped to shape government policies in favour of a better society. He brings his characters of integrity, fearlessness and forthrightness to bear on his essays so that they are hardly refuted because they are always well-researched and laden with facts.
It was therefore not surprising that Chief Jude Ndukwe received effusive accolades, prayers and best wishes from a plethora of friends, relatives and even people he hardly knows personally on the occasion of his 2025 birthday.
For such a generous soul, honest and courageous character, one can only pray God to keep him safe, bless him immensely because through him humanity is blessed.
