… Takes Healthy Living Campaign to Agbedo Market

In a vibrant outreach event at Agbedo Market in Nnewi, Anambra State Governor’s Wife Mrs. Nonye Soludo, brought her Healthy Living Market Hygiene Outreach initiative to the traders and community members.

The event, attended by a diverse crowd including traders from various states, Nnewi Women, APGA members, and support groups, showcased Mrs. Soludo’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and addressing local concerns.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Soludo acknowledged the challenges faced by the traders, particularly illegal tax collections, and assured them of her husband’s dedication to the development of Nnewi, a city that holds significant pride for the state.

She highlighted Governor Soludo’s recent recognition as the best Governor in infrastructure and rural development in the country, noting the construction of 250km of roads and ongoing work on over 500km, all achieved without borrowing.

The First Lady emphasized the importance of her Healthy Living initiative, which focuses on nutrition, personal hygiene, and environmental cleanliness. She encouraged the adoption of natural foods and the establishment of home gardens to combat the rising health issues caused by chemical-laden foods.

Mrs. Soludo distributed buckets, liquid soaps, aprons, and waste bags to promote hygiene practices among the market women.

Dr. Afam Obidike, the State Coordinator of Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo, commended the First Lady’s efforts, noting her previous contributions to the Nnewi Teaching Hospital during the Christmas season.

The event was also graced by the presence of the Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu and President General of ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anwuna who praised Governor Soludo’s administration for its commitment to the welfare and development of the state and the First Lady for her efforts in creating a healthy and productive Anambra
