The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Senator Austin Akobundu has expressed his gratitude to his constituents for their support throughout 2024.
He emphasised that he would not have been able to achieve the much he did for them if not for their support which he said remains invaluable. While promising to keep intensifying efforts to bring more dividends of democracy to them, he enjoined them to embrace the new year with renewed hope, unity and determination.

As we step into 2025, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to you for your unwavering support, trust, and cooperation throughout the past year. Together, we have overcome challenges, celebrated milestones, and taken significant strides toward improving our communities.
In 2024, we prioritized initiatives that addressed critical needs: infrastructure rehabilitation, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, and economic growth. From the ongoing digital skills training for 1,000 youths, educational scholarships both to teachers and regular students, agricultural support, and legislative efforts to secure federal development projects and recruitment, these achievements were made possible by your trust and encouragement.
This year, I am more committed than ever to pursuing programs and policies that uplift our communities. We will intensify efforts to complete ongoing projects, initiate new ones, and ensure that every sector feels the positive impact of governance. I will continue to be your voice in the Senate, advocating for your needs and aspirations.
I call on each of you to embrace 2025 with renewed hope, unity, and determination. Let us support one another, stay resilient, and work collectively toward building a stronger, more prosperous Abia Central.
