Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council has made arrangements to hold an interdenominational prayer session on Friday, October 27th, 2023 to implore God’s intervention in the union’s affairs.
The Secretary of Council, Comrade Ochiaka Ugwu announced that this prayer is necessary to seek help and guidance from God regarding the state of the union.
He disclosed that all journalists and their relatives are invited to participate in this prayer session intended to thwart any wicked plans against members and their families.
According to Ochiaka “Recent events at the council have been quite unsettling with numerous deaths and illnesses affecting members and their relatives unlike before.
This situation demands our attention as NUJ is currently experiencing challenging times despite its abundant human resources.”
He stated that “NUJ is a vibrant and virile union that is full of vigor, resourcefulness, eggheads and has all it takes to be one of the greatest councils in the country. Regrettably, it has been bedeviled with misfortunes making it impossible for it not to be where it should be at the moment.
Ochiaka encouraged all journalists practicing in Abuja including their family members to join the prayers at the NUJ FCT Council Secretariat, Utako by 10 am on Friday.
“We pray that Almighty God will use the programme to address the spiritual dimensions of the challenges plaguing the union and frustrate every evil plans against us.” He added.
