Oborevwori Inaugurates Projects Executed by Okwechime’s Administration in Aniocha North

… Says Delta Councils’ Achievements Excites Him

The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has Inaugurated projects executed by the Hon. Kevin Okwechime Led Administration in Aniocha North Local Government.

The projects commissioned included the Aniocha North Skills Acquisition Centre and Multi-Purpose Hall.

Governor Oborevwori also unveiled the Aniocha North Ten Thousand Gallons Capacity Comprehensive Water Scheme reactivated by the present administration in the Local Government.

Speaking during the inauguration, the Governor commended the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North, Hon Kevin Okwechime for providing facilities that have direct bearing to the lives of the people.

Oborevwori said the state government was interested in the education of the youths of the state and commended the Council boss for the Skill Acquisition Centre.

He expressed appreciation to Local Government Council Chairmen in the state for their numerous contributions to grassroot development.

Governor Oborevwori who was represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, commended Council Chairmen in the state for their contributions to his administration’s MORE Agenda.

“I have just discovered that this present crop of council chairmen seems to be different from the ones we have had in the past; these present crop of Council Chairmen are young, energetic and they come in with vision and mission to accomplish.

He said that the harvests of projects from the Councils were a clear demonstration of the Chairmen’s contributions to the MORE Agenda.

“The administration is very pleased with the performances of Council Chairmen in the state and by the grace of Almighty God and the support of the electorate, Deltans will continue to feel the impact of good and purposeful governance for the benefit of the people,” the governor said.

He commended the people of Delta North for the peace in the Senatorial District and urged them to continue to support the government for greater dividends of democracy.

In his address, the Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Kevin Okwechime, appreciated the Governor for coming to the Local Government Area and said the people have been the centerpiece of his administration in line with the MORE Agenda of the state government.

He disclosed that the Skills Acquisition Centre and Multipurpose Hall was undertaken to take care of the urgent need of inculcating skills to the teeming youths of the local government.

“It is with a view to creating jobs, reducing unemployment, curbing youth restiveness and reducing crime in the society, while the Multipurpose Hall will serve as a Civic and Recreational Training Center for the people of Aniocha North.

“We have also reactivated the Aniocha North ten thousand gallons capacity comprehensive water scheme to provide water free to residents of Issele-Uku and neighbouring communities.

“In keeping with your MORE Agenda, we have also been able to sink Water Boreholes in five Communities, known for acute shortage of water supply, that includes, Onicha-Olona, Onicha-Ugbo, Issele-Asagba, Ugbodu, and Idumu-Ogo.

“With the people as the centerpiece of our administration, Your Excellency, Sir, we constructed and reconstructed six markets in Six Communities within our council area and in the same vein constructed two Primary Health Care Centers in two communities and rehabilitated four others in four communities.

“These are projects that have direct bearing to the lives of our people and in line with the objectives of your More Agenda, it has uplifted the living standards of our people,” Okwechime said.
