PDP’s Hypocrisy Exposed: Okpebholo’s Government is Taking Action, Not Playing Politics

Once again, the PDP and its propaganda machinery are desperately trying to exploit insecurity to score cheap political points. The recent attack in Ovia North East is tragic, but it is disgraceful for the opposition to use the pain of the people to push their failed narrative.

Governor Monday Okpebholo is not sitting idly by. His administration has taken proactive steps to tackle insecurity, engaging security agencies, local vigilantes, and community leaders to restore peace. Unlike the PDP-led administration, which ignored the cries of Edo people for years, Okpebholo’s government is prioritizing security and not just reacting when tragedy strikes.

PDP’s claim that the absence of local government chairmen is fueling insecurity is laughable. If they truly cared about local governance, why did they allow the decay of grassroots administration under their watch? The current administration is working to restore sanity to local governance, and the PDP’s distraction tactics will not derail these efforts.

Edo people should not be deceived by opposition figures who contributed to the state’s insecurity through negligence. Okpebholo’s government is rebuilding trust, strengthening security, and working towards a safer Edo. Leadership is about action, not lamentation, and the PDP should take responsibility for the failures they left behind instead of playing politics with people’s lives.
