Reps Deputy Minority Leader Felicitates with Enugu Gov, Deputy On Inauguration

…Urges Enugu Indigenes To Align With New Administration

Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Toby Okechukwu has join the good people of Enugu State in felicitating with Dr. Peter Mbah the State Executive Governor, his Deputy Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai on their victory and on their successful inauguration.

Okechukwu, who represents Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency, in a congratulatory message he sent to Governor Mbah, noted that by signing three ‘Executive Orders’ on the day of his inauguration, the governor had demonstrated that he came prepared for the job.

The statement read, “On behalf of my family and constituents, I congratulate you and your deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, on your inauguration.

“I am elated at the promises your administration holds for our state. Having crisscrossed the 68 development Centres of Enugu State during the campaigns, you have a total picture of the environment, geography, beauty, and challenges.

“It is therefore time for the lion to roar and the tiger to show its tigritude in meeting these expectations. In doing so, we have no doubt that you will ensure that the economy and the people of Enugu State will be the ultimate beneficiaries.”

He further commended in particular the governor’s sense of urgency in not only effectively assuming office on the day of his inauguration, but equally issuing three Executive Orders on the same day, namely, Executive Order 001 2023 for the Development of Citizens’ Charter, Executive Order 002 for the Removal of Unauthorised Street Barriers Across the State Within 100 Days; and Executive Order 003 for the Promotion of Economic Growth through Transparency and Efficiency in Government.

He further said “There is no gainsaying that Executive Order for Citizens Charter is a sine qua non and compass for the good and transparent governance of Enugu State through provision of critical social amenities, quality and timely government services, a peaceful and tranquil living environment devoid of insecurity and all threats to life, and provision of a justice system that efficiently adjudicates on all civil or criminal matters.

“We are therefore supremely confident that a renascent Enugu State under your leadership will ultimately claim its historical position as the vanguard and hub of a rejuvenated South East and reference point in the entire country and beyond”.

Okechukwu therefore, urged the people of Enugu to align with Mbah’s administration, as it embarks on the arduous task of repositioning the state and taking it to its rightful place, the former ‘Eastern’ regional capital.
