Bombs and bull dozers, Rumblings and grumblings, flames of fire ignited in the rivers of oil, the center cannot hold because it is in collaboration with one of the combatants. The stage is set for a showdown between the ordinary people and the powers that be in Nigeria. The federal referee has taken sides as he is already an impartial arbiter.
The dice is cast. The people will have their say, but as usual in political parlance, the powers that be will have their way. The Governor will have no choice than to swallow the bitter pill or …….
Ambode had swallowed that bitter pill before, therefore Fubara will have no choice than to seek his wise counsel.
Unfortunately, Governor Fubara and the ordinary people of Rivers State will have no such sanctuary in the judiciary, as this last hope of the common man is already in bed with the government of the day.
If recent judicial pronouncement in Nigeria is anything to go by, this fear is not unfounded
Interestingly and curiously too, there is not going to be any give and take but a one way directive. This is already evidently displayed in the one sided 8 point instructions marshalled out to Governor Fubara by the so called President Tinubu’s APC sham kangaroo reconciliation – a reconciliation manifesto that seems to be composed, written, sealed by Wike, and supervised and delivered by Tinubu.
It therefore remains to be seen whether Emperor Wike will put finishing touches to his plans to join forces with the Monarch of Boudillon to form a formidable political and financial dynasty in Nigeria, or Fubara will escape going down the Ambode-like dungeon.
As the game unfolds, your guess of the winner is as good as mine.
Meanwhile, we ordinary Nigerians will as usual leave everything to God.
Time and destiny will tell.
