Senator Akobundu Commends Dr Osinachi Vincent Chigbu On His Debut Book Presentation 

… Pledges continued commitment to the promotion of positive creativity among young Nigerians

Senator Austin Akobundu of Abia Central Senatorial District has pledged his continued commitment to the promotion of positive creativity among young Nigerians as a way of contributing to the promotion of good governance and nation building.

The Senator stated this in his congratulatory message to Osinachi Vincent Chigbu, PhD, on the occasion of the public presentation of his book titled, “Good Governance, Conflict Management and Sustainable Development in Nigeria” which held in Abuja the nation’s capital recently.

Senator Akobundu who was represented at the event by Chief Jude Ndukwe commended the author for his steadfastness in putting the book together and his passion for peace, conflict resolution and sustainable development which is a demonstration of his commitment to national cohesion and nation building.

While recalling that the book is in tandem with his own programmes of peace and conflict management workshops he organises for traditional rulers, community leaders, women and youth leaders and other relevant stakeholders in Abia Central Senatorial District, Akobundu urged young Nigerians to emulate Dr Chigbu in making positive impact on the nation and etching their names in the annals of the nation’s history through their talents. He urged leaders at all levels to support such endeavours among young Nigerians as demonstrated by Dr Chigbu as a way of stimulating the abundant talent among them for National development.

In his speech, the author said he was inspired to write the book as his own way of contributing to the management and resolution of conflicts which seem to be tearing the nation apart. He expressed hope that policy makers would be able to implement recommendations in the book for a better understanding of issues of conflict affecting the nation and how to effectively resolve them.

He thanked Senator Akobundu and other guests at the event for their support and promised to continue to partner with relevant stakeholders in their quest for national peace, progress and sustainable development.
