Senator Austin Akobundu (Abia Central) has condoled with mananagenent and staff of Arise News Channel over the tragic death of one of its news anchors, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu.
In his message of condolence to the family of the deceased and Arise TV, Akobundu expressed regrets that “Sommie” had her life cut short by men of the underworld at a time Nigeria needed her talents and voice most. He eulogided her for her bravery in carrying out her duties and for being a worthy role model to her generation.
While urging the security agencies to deploy all resources needed to track down the culprits and bring them to book, Senator Akobundu prayed for the peaceful repose Somtochukwu’s soul and asked God to grant her family, management and staff of Arise TV, the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
