As a part of Governor Soludo’s Efforts at creating a worker friendly environment, Renovation, reconstruction and beautification of Orumba South Local Government Area headquarters has been completed.
The project is domiciled in the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs under its present Commissioner, Mr. Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne.
The Commissioner stated that the present administration is unrelentless in transforming the local government system, starting from attending to its infrastructure deficit.
“Comparatively today, Orumba South headquarters is wearing a new look. It is now a serene and beautiful environment where the local government workforce can work in comfort”.
He revealed that the reconstruction efforts will get to all the twenty-one Council Areas in the state, starting from Anambra South Senatorial Zone.
The Commissioner added that the Ministry under his watch is investing efforts at rebuilding destroyed buildings, dilapidated structures, beautification of the LGA premises and it’s surroundings, procurement of new furniture and equipping of offices with modern facilities and computers, to enhance workers’ productivity.
For the Transition Committee Chairman for Orumba South Local Government Area, Chief Neville Uchendu, it is a thing of joy that the present administration has completed new projects within its territory, pointing out that soon, he will commission the new canteen building for the LGA staff as well as a modern multipurpose hall built to cater for all the indoor activities at the LGA.
Presently, the beauty of Orumba South Council Area starts from the beautiful perimeter fence, the giant gate and the magnificent gate house.
