Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has offered condolences on the passing of the late former Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, SAN, NNOM, CON- a distinguished Anambra State-born legal luminary and national patriot who passed away on Sunday 29th October 2023.
Governor Soludo in his tribute acknowledged that Prof. Nwabueze’s influence extended far beyond his home state; he inspired generations of legal minds and citizens alike in their pursuit for a more just and equitable society.
In a statement by Christian Aburime, Chief Press Secretary to the Anambra State Governor, Soludo eulogized the deceased ‘’As an eminent figure in constitutional law and an elder statesman with unparalleled integrity in Nigeria, Prof. Nwabueze’s legacy will forever be etched in our nation’s history books. His unwavering commitment to constitutionalism, justice and equity has left an indelible impact on Nigeria.’’
Governor Soludo further acknowledges that Prof. Nwabueze’s wisdom and tireless efforts played a pivotal role in advocating for democratic ideals during some of Nigeria’s most crucial moments.
