What role is Simon Ekpa playing out in the Igbo man’s collective aspiration for freedom? This is a challenging question to any Igbo who has ever given a deep thought to the current security challenges in Igboland.
Some are of the opinion that he is responsible for the insecurity bedeviling us as a geopolitical entitly.
Others hold that he is responsible for the continued holding of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in DSS confinement. I have to state without fear of being misunderstood that MNK is the compelling symbol of freedom and liberty known to about 80% of Igbos, or more, right now.
Let me state, from my own appraisal of issues daily unfolding before us, that Simon Ekpa has no part in MNK’s continued incarceration. From the manner of MNK’s arrest you can see how badly the Anglo-Fulani hegemonists want to neutralise both him and IPOB.
Both MNK and Simon Ekpa are a solid prove of the saying that nothing can stop an idea whose time has come. It is not their various personalities, but the common ideal that wield them together – justice for the Igbo man.
Have you ever imagined at what cost they renditioned, and still incarcerate MNK? Each appearance in court costs FBN ₦500 million, they said. And you still believe anyone is responsible for his continual stay in DSS Gestapo?
Whatever reasons that hold MNK in illegal detention is still same cause of insecurity in igboland. In my candid opinion,
Britain, and the Nigeria State are responsible for the afflictions in the South East.
They are the reasons no wharf is actively operating within the coastal territories of the East. They don’t want your economy to grow. They believe that if Igbo economy is to grow again, the ghost of Biafra will rise up once more.
This fear is a cue from the massive innovations and developments in the defunct Eastern Region, during the Michael Okpara days, and during the Biafran war era. Should Biafra come today, Britain and Fulani will loose the resources, predominantly, the oil wealth that has turned Fulani oligarch bone lazy.
Nigeria is mortally afraid of a prosperous Igbo nation. These are the truths they don’t want you to know. Their subtle demarketing of Alaigbo goes under the alias that MNK, IPOB/ESN are responsible.
This is a false flag operation. They know they can’t defeat the Igbos in a direct confrontation. They deliberately set up these charades to help Igbos defeat themselves.
This reverse psychology approach of internal rancour is the only known way to defeat a formidable people like the Igbos. It is an age-long warfare strategy.
Britain knows this. They have been in this business of bringing down nations for centuries. So, Britain is the mastermind of the bruises and pains we nurse as a people.
Igbo leaders are always chosen and imposed on their people, even against their will. Have you wondered why? Igbo leaders – governors, senators, even Ohanaeze presidents, etc, are people, who ignorantly, selfishly or stupidly, implement the retrogressive policies of the Fulani against the Igbos?
We hear stories of Fulani herdsmen and their nefarious activities in our land, yet the governors say nothing. Our leaders do nothing too. You heard the confessions of the Methodist prelate who was kidnapped by Fulani criminals on Igbo soil, and the complicity of the army.
Till date no governor, senator or Ohanaeze have made any statement on the issue and similar issues across our land. The story is rift everywhere, in Anambra, in Imo, in Enugu, in short in all the cities, towns and communities of Igboland.
Now imagine that Igbos were involved in this level of criminality elsewhere in the North. My brother, the entire northern governors and Arewa would have brought the war to our doorsteps in the East. But with our leaders it is simply, say nothing, do nothing. Why would a supposed leader pamper the tormentors of his people?
My summation, is that the way Britain indirectly ruled the north through the northern leaders, is the same way the Anglo-Fulani oligarchy is ruling Alaigbo through our leaders. These leaders are not working for you, the people. Igboland leaders are like marionettes remotely operated to perpetuate Fulani interest in Igboland.
This is the way things are with us. The Igbos are an engendered species of the human society daily living out their lives under this ominous threat of self-dismemberment and centripetally pressured annihilation.
It is painful that many of us are lost in the benumbling dosage of self-denial of this basic reality. We must pray fervently, so that we can rise up in this awareness to maintain and occupy our space. We have a sacred duty to ourselves, and our generations onto eternity.
The time is auspicious for all well-intentioned Igbos to speak out and act, or die unsung.
May God help us.
