In his determination to ensure that traders in Abia Central markets maximise their full potentials for greater prosperity without any hindrance even by time, the Senator representing the District in the National Assembly, Senator Austin Akobundu has installed another set of solar-powered streetlights at the Ekenwobasi market in Osisioma Ngwa LGA of the state.
Traders at the market and members of the community expressed joy at the development and promised to ensure the protection of the facilities from vandals.
They praised the Senator for his effective representation in the National Assembly and also for his quality leadership which has seen to his execution of people-oriented projects in the six LGAs of the senatorial district, and the empowerment of his constituents.
They further expressed delight that the installed streetlights will help them extend their business hours, make goods and services available to late buyers and increase sales and profit for them. The traders committed to keep supporting Senator Austin Akobundu in all his political endeavours.
Recall that Senator Akobundu had earlier installed solar-powered streetlights in Apumiri and Ahiaukwu markets in Umuahia South LGA, Obikabia and Nkwo Nsulu markets in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Ahiaeke market in Umuahia North LGA, Ekeonyeugba market, Mbutu, in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Ariam and Ndoru markets in Ikwuano LGA, and Nkwo Ebe market in Umunkpeyi Nvosi, also in Isiala Ngwa South LGA.
The Senator’s “Light Up the Market Initiative” is an Initiative of the Senator to help bring democracy dividends closer to his people.
