BIRTH

Coming from a family with eight siblings, Wanni is a versatile, outgoing, no holds back, charismatic, charming, infectious, fluent and outspoken personality.

She emerged as the first runners up (2nd position) at the 2024 BBNaija Season 9 No Loose Guard TV reality show finale on Sunday 6/10/2024.

 

Wanni was born on 12th. April, 1997 to Mr. and Mrs. Danbaki from Southern Kaduna (Lere Local government).

The Danbaki’s are well-respected in their community and known for their strong Christian and family values, as well as the dedication to their children’s upbringing.

Wanni and her twin sister Handi both went to the BBNaija house as a pair. While Handi was evicted from the house with 3 weeks to the end of the show, Wanni survived to the very end.

 

EDUCATION

Wanni has shown a strong interest in the arts right from a young age, with a particular focus on music and dance.

She attended primary and secondary schools in Kaduna, where she actively participated in various extracurricular activities related to performing arts.

She was such an outgoing talkative extrovert personality in school that whenever the list of names of noisemakers were presented to the class teacher, she was usually among the top 5.

Throughout her school years, her enthusiasm for dance and music was evident, and she earned recognition and praise from both pears and teachers. Her parents were supportive of her all the way.

After completing her secondary school, Wanni pursued higher education at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, graduating with a degree in Mass Communication, a discipline that further fueled up her passion for the arts thereby sharpening her skills for a career in the entertainment industry.

 

CAREER AND BUSINESS

Wanni Danbaki is a dynamic Nigerian dancer, DJ, reality TV star, and model.

Together with her twin sister they formed the DJ duo of Wanni X Handi, celebrating and showcasing their electrifying energy to higher heights. They have actually carved out a prominent place in the entertainment industry.

As popular DJs, the duo of Wanni X Handi are stunning performers, infusing their sets with their distinctive style and charisma.

Wanni and Handi’s enthusiasm for Afrobeat is evident in their performances as they skillfully incorporate Nigerian vibes into their playlists.

 

Wanni, one-half of the dynamic DJ duo of Wanni X Handi has been making waves in the entertainment industry with vibrant energy, enthusiasm and passion for music.

Born into a family of music lovers, Wanni grew up surrounded by the sounds of their favorite artists. From that young age she was fascinated by the “sound of music”, thus sparking her love for DJing.

As a young child, Wanni would save her lunch money to buy the latest DJ mixtapes and albums, spending hours singing along and dancing to them.

This early exposure to music and entertainment laid the groundwork and foundation for where she has found herself today – the winner of the IVM Innoson car and the 2 position of the BBNaija 2024 Season 9 No Loose Guard reality TV show.

 

Wanni and Handi’s passion for music and entertainment led them to explore various avenues, including TV presenting, acting, and digital marketing.

In 2023 Wanni and Handi were featured in the “On Deck & On Fire” series, highlighting talented DJs who are the heartbeat of unforgettable parties.

This recognition is a testament to their hard work, dedication and passion for creativity.

 

WANNI IN BBNAIJA HOUSE

On 28 July 2024, Wanni and her twin sister Handi both took their careers to new and greater heights by going in and participating in the popular BBNaija Season 9 No Loose Guard reality TV show.

This participation not only showcased their individual in-built talents and skills but also afforded them opportunity to connect with a wider viewing audience thus gaining a large following.

Unfortunately, Handi could not reach not reach week 10 for the finale because she dropped out at week 7 through eviction.

Interestingly, Wanni survived through to the final where she came 2nd position.

Wanni proved the stuff she is made of right from the beginning of the very few days of her stay in the house:

  • She was the light that shone and illuminated the house.
  • She was as highly sentimental and vibrant as anyone could imagine.
  • She would give out trouble whenever trouble found her lane.
  • She was quick to find a shoulder to lean and cry on whenever she was pieced off.
  • She was the uncrowned queen of the house as she became the rallying point.
  • Her diary sessions were as interesting, educating and entertaining than any of the other housemate thereby endearing Big Brother to developing a soft and African style of pronouncing her name – “Wa’anniiii”.
  • She also reciprocated Big Brother’s name calling style gesture by pronouncing Biggie’s name as “Bi’iggiiii” – what a jovial personality in Wanni.
  • Wanni was quick to make friends with both female and male housemates. Shaun was her “B” friend, although Ozee was sometimes seen as her “spare tire.”

HER LOW AND HIGH MOMENTS

  • Wanni’s low moments came when the two closest housemates, Handi her twin sister and Shaun her “B” friend were both evicted same night, thus making her cry her hearts out all night long to the next day.
  • Her high moments came when:
  1. She won the IVM car through the house task competition in the final week 10.
  2. She made a high notch presentation at the valedictory session for the housemates.
  3. She emerged as the housemate that won the highest total amount of cash prize of #18.5 million from the house tasks competition.
  4. She was declared the winner of the 2nd position at the grand finale on Sunday 6/10/2023.

(1) Before coming to BBNaija house Wanni earns most of her income from DJing and influencing jobs via social media.

She had a Net worth of $15,000

(2) Wanni emerged as the housemate with the highest amount of money to the total sum of #18.5 million gotten from the house task competition.
